Jared participated in the initial trip to Kenya with the Powells in 2012. He went to seminary with Laban, our field missionary, and they were ordained to ministry together at First Baptist Church in Baytown, TX.
Jared is married to Brianna, and they have two kids, Jonny and Jordan. He earned a Master of Divinity and is finishing a PhD in Historical Theology. He currently serves as pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Highlands, TX, and teaches church history courses in a maximum-security prison. He is the board president of the Pregnancy Resource Center East, Vice Moderator of the San Jacinto Baptist Association, and Highlands Volunteer Fire Department Chaplain.
Troy first visited Kenya in 2017 as a part of a missions team to share the gospel with local families in the vicinity of the proposed mission house which would become Mountain View Missions. He has since led subsequent trips. He has served on the Mountain View Missions Boards of Directors since its inception.
Troy was raised in the small community of Highlands, Texas where he also lived after marrying his wife Laurie and where they raised their two children, Lauren Rae and Chase. He currently lives in La Porte, Texas.
Troy and his wife attend Rollingbrook Fellowship in Baytown, Texas. There he serves as a deacon as well as on the worship technical team. Troy is also involved with disaster relief through Texas Baptist Men (TBM). Over the years he has been deployed through TBM to Texas, Louisiana and Florida to help with hurricane, tornado and fire recovery.
Recently retired, Troy and his wife enjoy traveling, exploring this beautiful country and camping using their Jeep Wrangler that Troy outfitted with a tent top and kitchen. Troy also enjoys biking, hiking, kayaking, camping and woodworking and is currently restoring a 13' 1980’s UHaul camper.
Pam was born and raised in Baytown, Texas where she and her husband Russell raised their two boys. She and Russell have been married for 35 years and have attended Rollingbrook Fellowship since 1991. Pam was the Financial Administrator at Rollingbrook Fellowship for eight years until her retirement in 2020. Since then, she and Russell have enjoyed traveling in their RV and making several trips to Ohio to see their grandchildren.
Pam first traveled to Kenya in 2014 with a missions team who shared the gospel in several schools in and around Naivasha.
Mitch has served on the Mountain View Missions Board of Directors since its inception. He and his wife, Jeri, first visited Kenya in the summer of 2013 as part of a team partnering with local ministerial organizations.
Mitch was born and raised in Baytown, Texas, where he worked at and retired from ExxonMobil after 24 years of service. Currently, he serves on the Administrative Team at his church, Rollingbrook Fellowship. He also is involved with Blast & Cast Men’s Ministries and has been since 2010 where he has served in various leadership roles.
Mitch and Jeri have been married for 19 years and enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. In Mitch’s spare time, he enjoys all things outdoors.
Jager has served on the Mountain View Missions Board of Directors since its inception. While Jager first visited Kenya in 2013 with the future Mountain View Missions team in 2013, God used a trip to Tanzania in 2012 to activate his heart for the people of Central Africa. Born in Scottsboro Alabama, Jager attended Auburn University and has been working for ExxonMobil in the Greater Houston area since 2010, holding various positions as both an engineer and manager. In addition to serving with Mountain View Missions, Jager also serves as a Board Member for the Conroe Municipal Management District #1.
Jager and his wife Jackie began dating following a mission trip to Spain with Houston’s First Baptist Church in 2016. Jackie has vast missions experience, traveling around the world 3 times on missions to serve in more than 10 countries. The Livingston’s now reside in Conroe, TX where they attend Pillar Church, and have 2 sons. In spare time, Jager enjoys most anything athletic and/or outdoors.
Jacob has served on the Mountain View Missions Boards of Directors since its inception. He and his wife, Bekah, first visited Kenya in the summer of 2012 as a part of a team exploring partnership opportunities. The groundwork was laid on this trip for what would eventually become Mountain View Missions.
Jacob was born and raised in Tallassee, Alabama and now resides in Baytown, Texas where he is a Power Distribution Engineer at Covestro. He serves on the Baytown City Council and on the Board of Directors for the Goose Creek CISD Education Foundation and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) of Liberty and Chambers Counties. He previously served on the school board of Baytown’s First Baptist Academy and the Board of Directors for Blast & Cast Men's Ministries.
Jacob and Bekah have four children and are licensed foster parents. They attend Second Baytown Church where Jacob serves in the worship ministry. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, reading, enjoying the outdoors, and restoring his 1971 Chevy C10 pickup.
