What's going on with Mountain View Missions?
It's been a busy season for the Powell family for the past few years. I (Jacob) have been serving on Baytown's City Council for almost 3 years and will be running for re-election in the Fall. Our family adopted our youngest daughter a little over a year ago. She recently turned 2. We've been traveling and enjoying being a family of 6!
Almost two years ago, Laban and Margaret were able to return to Kenya full-time. They are serving in leadership at a local church and are the on-the-ground local staff for Mountain View Missions.
Laban and Margaret are working with other local ministry partners to meet and identify families and kids who need to be a part of the sponsorship program. We plan to have new kids added by December and will be looking for new sponsors in January.
We're excited to launch a new website in August! The new site will help us get the word out about ministry updates and the sponsorship program.
